Alia Bhatt’s much-anticipated Cannes Film Festival debut this year did not disappoint. Styled entirely by Rhea Kapoor, from corseted Schiaparelli to bodycon Armani and coordinated Gucci, Vogue takes a deep dive into the actor’s high-fashion moments this week.

Putting all the speculation to rest, Alia Bhatt arrived on the red carpet in an ivory-nude Schiaparelli mermaid gown for her first look. Floral detailing hugged the sides of the off-the-shoulder bodycon dress. Paired with Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas earrings and a large pear-shaped diamond ring, jewellery was kept to a minimum. Bhatt’s signature dewy makeup complemented the understated colours of the dress.

The L’Oréal ambassador made her second Cannes appearance in a navy Giorgio Armani Prive gown from the label’s spring/summer 2025 line. The bejewelled strapless piece featured a band of gems on the bust and hem. A beaded hair cap held together her tight bun, reminiscent of 1920s flapper-style fashion.

In yet another head-to-toe bejewelled look, the Jigra actor graced the carpet wearing a nude-hued monogrammed GG sari by Gucci. The piece featured a plunging blouse, a straight skirt and a duppatta-like drape that trailed behind her. This time her natural soft glam, was accompanied by kohl-rimmed eyes and waves that fell behind her shoulders. A diamond tennis necklace tied the look together.

Bhatt brought sunshine to the Croisette for a day of press interviews. The sunflower-yellow ensemble featured a pencil skirt and cropped corset top with a matching cropped jacket. Exuding old Hollywood glam with red lipstick, the look was accessorised with a floral headscarf, Gucci detailed sunglasses, and yellow Chopard earrings. The Bamboo 1947 bag from the maison was the final punctuation.
