Seema’s audacious nature often draws comparisons to Samantha’s boldness—a parallel some might assume would irk Choudhury. But she takes it in her stride, even considers it an honour. “When we were filming, I never had that thought. So when people brought it up, my first reaction was, ‘I’m flattered—Samantha was iconic.’ It’s a compliment.” She pauses, then adds thoughtfully, “As a brown actress, you’re used to always being compared to someone. You learn not to overthink it. I just focus on creating my own mark.”

With season 3, Seema has much to look forward to, especially when it comes to love. Choudhury hints at her character’s long-distance relationship, reminding us that beneath the couture, Seema is just a woman looking for connection. Like Carrie once said, women come to New York for the two Ls: love and labels. “This season is quite different—and I love it. First of all, it’s shot in the summer, and New York becomes a whole different city. Everyone’s out, there’s spring fever, love is in the air, and visually, it’s just more vibrant,” she sighs. Seema, meanwhile, is dealing with Ravi being in Egypt, and it’s getting hard. “She can handle anything, but I think she wants to come home to someone. That kind of Zoom relationship? She already does that all day for work.”
