Now, Rakul Preet Singh is ushering in the monsoon by channeling a carefree-meets-chic spirit, dressed in an ivory sharara set. For a recent outing, she opted for a Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor look that has all the tropes of the timeless trend, but with a healthy dose of sexy.

Styled by Anshika Verma, Singh’s look comprised flowy, flared sharara pants and a sensual corset blouse with an open back. “Rakul’s georgette outfit is an ode to effortless elegance. The silhouette sculpts the upper body, while the dramatic sharara flares out in soft, cascading waves—lightweight, fluid, and made to move. The pants are embroidered with vertical lines of delicate threadwork, hand-cut beads, and sequins in soft golds and silvers to create a sense of quiet glamour and elongate the form beautifully. The halter neckline corset is enhanced with the same workmanship, showcasing floral motifs. Every detail—right down to the placement of each sequin and bead—is carefully chosen to create depth, texture, and a subtle shine that catches the light with every step,” shares Punjabi Kapoor about the outfit.

Singh elevated her look with a pair of shoulder-dusters and a stack of kadas from Amrapali Jewels. Her glam was cocktail-ready, featuring a dewy base, winged eyeliner, softly contoured cheeks, and a red pout. But Singh kept to a fuss-free hairstyle, wearing her locks in a dance-friendly half-up, half-down ‘do for the evening.

While her sharara is in keeping with the sure-fire festive fashion formula, the corset is a quiet break from the predictable kurtas and tunics that are a go-to with the silhouette.
