Few fabrics work as hard as fringe. It moves, it sways, it performs. Ananya Panday let it take centre stage in a Tony Ward couture mini dress. Cut from sheer tulle and embroidered with champagne-gold and silver sequins, the dress was finished with long metallic fringe that exaggerated every shift in movement and leaned into a disco mood.
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia Badani, the accessories brought in sharper lines. Hanut Singh’s Deco Ice Pack earrings, set with green and mandarin sapphires and diamonds, added structure against the fluid dress. On her feet, Aquazzura’s Galaxy pumps—silver PVC with crystal accents and wraparound straps—echoed the sparkle without distracting from it.

Her hair was parted deep to the side and styled in loose waves that gave the look a retro accent. Makeup stayed pared-back: a thin flick of liner, soft shimmer on the lids and a muted rose lip. The styling kept attention on the sequinned fringe.
Fringe is clearly having a resurgence. Deepika Padukone wore a metallic-fringed skirt to the LVMH Prize. It appeared on numerous New York Fashion Week SS26 runways such as Calvin Klein, Christian Siriano, Michael Kors, and more. Ananya Panday’s Tony Ward mini sits right in the mix.
