Ananya Panday turned to the archives for the Filmfare Awards, stepping out in an Elie Saab Spring Summer 2007 gown styled by Priyanka Kapadia. The halter-neck gown is cut close through the bodice before falling into a column shape that follows the body without fuss.
The surface is mapped with gold sequins arranged in directional bands, giving the gown a sense of motion even when still. A thigh-high slit breaks the linearity, while the open back keeps the construction exposed rather than concealed. The effect comes from the cut and surface working together.
Styling mirrors the gown’s lines. A high bun sharpens the neckline, while elongated earrings and a single ring by Irasva Fine Jewellery continue the vertical rhythm set by the halter cut and slit.
Darkened eyes bring depth, paired with softly flushed skin and a warm gloss that holds its own against the intensity of the gold.
