All the cool girls are wearing dad shoes like it’s 2014 again

For Cecilie Bahnsen’s spring/summer 2026 show at Copenhagen Fashion Week, the designer sent a flurry of models in airy, whipped cream-coloured gowns and dad shoes–specifically, Chunky white and silver Asics sneakers, of the type one might have worn in the ’90s for PE–onto the stark concrete of an industrial site in Refshaleøen.

It makes sense that the models would be wearing Asics – the designer has collaborated regularly with the Japanese activewear brand. But this wasn’t the only time I’ve seen blocky dad sneakers in a fashion setting of late. Alongside all the slimline Puma Speedcats and Prada Collapses, there seems to have been an unexpected resurgence of dorky, techy sneakers, the sort that scream “American dad mowing the lawn”. Whether it’s New Balance, Asics or Nike V5 RNR, the dad sneaker is becoming cool again (and I’m not just talking about the Asics Gel-Kinetic Fluent here, but basic trainers in grey and off-white colourways, the sort Larry David might wear to go for a run).

The whole thing feels quite early 2010s, which is probably part of its appeal. Those old enough to remember 2014 will recall the advent of the term “normcore”, first coined by trend forecasters K-Hole, and quickly adopted as a sweeping phrase to describe a sort of intentional anti-style-yet-knowing basicness. “Sometime last summer I realised that, from behind, I could no longer tell if my fellow Soho pedestrians were art kids or middle-aged, middle-American tourists,” wrote Fiona Duncan for The Cut at the time. “Clad in stonewash jeans, fleece, and comfortable sneakers, both types looked like they might’ve just stepped off an R-train after shopping in Times Square.”

But has enough time passed for this sort of style to be making its way back around? I mean, yeah, probably – kids are romanticising iPhone 4s and Instagram filters from the same era. Even so, I don’t necessarily think we’re experiencing a resurgence in the normcore style, exactly, but it stands to reason that we might be similarly gravitating towards anti-trend styles (what’s cooler than an ugly PE shoe in a sea of Dries Van Noten?) As my colleague Daniel Rodgers wrote back in January during fashion week, after wearing a pair of Balenciaga Triple S sneakers from 2017: “Looking terrible – or in this case, just plain old corny – is really a very liberating thing.”

Raimonda Kulikauskiene/Getty Images

Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

Of course, the resurgence of the dad sneaker could be down to the ongoing rise of Asics, at least in part. According to Stock X’s mid-year trend report, Asics continues to be the number one growing shoe brand, up by 71 per cent this year, with the Gel-1130 its top selling silhouette. And when one silhouette becomes hypey, similar iterations tend to follow (which is what we saw with the Samba). “This season, we’re seeing a distinct shift toward tech-infused silhouettes, characterised by sleek, dynamic uppers and innovative sole structures,” Anissa Jaffrey, PR and collaborations lead at Asics SportStyle Europe, told British Vogue earlier this year.

The-Ultimate-Guide-to-Caring-for-Your-Kurta-Properly.jpg

The Ultimate Guide to Caring for Your Kurta Properly

A kurta stands as a timeless symbol of Indian tradition. From rich cottons to vibrant silks, every thread carries heritage and pride. Yet even the finest style loses its charm without proper care. Hand washing alone can extend your kurta’s life significantly, while gentle detergents preserve color and softness for years.

At Nihal Fashions, we believe every piece deserves protection so you feel celebration-ready at every occasion. Whether dressing for a festival, wedding, or cultural event, following the right care techniques ensures your kurta stays elegant, crisp, and comfortable. This guide will show you exactly how to care for your kurta, from wash day to wardrobe storage.

Choose the Right Fabric Care Routine

Your kurta’s longevity begins with a tailored washing strategy that suits its fabric type and embellishments.

Follow these tips:

Sort smart: Separate darks from lights to avoid color bleeding.

Use gentle detergent: Harsh soaps strip fabric of shine and softness.

Handwash when in doubt: Especially important for embroidered or silk kurtas.

Cold water only: Prevents shrinkage and fading.

Label check: Always review laundry symbols before applying heat.

Delicate prints, zari work, and thread embroidery are sensitive to temperature and agitation. If you buy kurta online for men that features handwork or silk blends, treat it with extra caution from the first wash.

Wash Your Kurta Gently Every Time

Every wash impacts the feel and visual appeal of your kurta. How you wash it determines how long it keeps its vibrant colors and flawless structure.

Step-by-Step Washing Guide:

Read the care label: Water temperature and detergent type matter. Follow them precisely.

Pre-treat stains: Act fast to remove oil, tea, or food spots. Use a fabric-safe stain remover instead of bleach.

Choose handwashing for delicate pieces: For zari, beading, sequins, or lightweight silks, handwashing is far safer than machine cycles.

Avoid wringing: Squeeze gently to release water instead of twisting, which can deform the garment.

Well-maintained kurtas feel soft, look radiant, and last for years. At Nihal Fashions, we design our pieces to reflect celebration, so they deserve care that extends their life.

Drying Techniques to Prevent Damage

Drying is just as important as washing. Improper methods can ruin embroidery, shrink cotton, or stretch silks.

Use these best practices:

Air dry flat: Lay your kurta on a clean towel in a shaded spot.

Never tumble dry: Excessive heat breaks down fibers and distorts shapes.

Avoid direct sunlight: Even a few hours can cause fading, especially with darker hues.

Do not hang wet silk kurtas: The weight pulls the fabric and causes uneven stretching.

For travel or festive occasions abroad, plan for air-drying in indoor shaded areas or use foldable drying racks. Many Nihal Fashions customers choose to air-dry overnight before pressing their outfits the next morning for events.

Iron Like a Pro for Lasting Style

A perfectly pressed kurta makes every detail stand out, especially collars, hems, and embroidery. But ironing carelessly can do more harm than good.

Master the Art of Ironing:

Use a steam iron for cottons: High steam settings work best to smooth natural creases.

Use a steamer for silks and embellishments: Steam gently from the inside to preserve delicate work.

Always iron inside out: Protects color and texture.

Use a pressing cloth: Place a cotton sheet between the iron and fabric when ironing over embroidery.

Hang immediately after ironing: Avoid letting pressed pieces crumple on a chair or table.

Proper ironing doesn’t just enhance presentation, it safeguards the fabric. Whether dressing for Diwali or attending a wedding, a wrinkle-free kurta conveys elegance and care.

Store Kurtas to Avoid Wrinkles

Storing your kurta correctly can extend its life between wears. Improper storage is one of the most common reasons why garments lose shape, fade, or wrinkle permanently.

Smart Storage Tips:

Use breathable cotton covers instead of plastic: Prevents yellowing and mildew.

Keep in a dry, dark place: Avoids mold and sun damage.

Add silica gel or neem leaves: Controls moisture and insects naturally.

Fold delicate items instead of hanging: Prevents shoulder stretch in lightweight fabrics.

Use padded hangers for heavier kurtas: Supports shape and minimizes creasing.

According to garment care specialists, over 60% of storage-related damage happens when light fabrics are hung on thin hangers. Always assess weight and delicacy before choosing your method.

Remove Stains Without Harsh Chemicals

Avoid bleach and chemical-based stain removers that harm both fabric and skin. Instead, try safe, effective alternatives using household items.

Try These Natural Stain Removers:

Sweat stains: Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water, soak for 15 minutes before washing.

Grease and oil: Sprinkle dry baking soda on the spot, then treat with diluted white vinegar.

Wine or curry: Use a combination of baking soda and lemon juice for a natural foaming lift.

Why skip bleach? Bleach can destroy natural dyes, damage embroidery threads, and cause skin irritation. According to The New York Times, chemical exposure from cleaning agents results in over 250,000 injuries annually, many involving children. Natural methods are safer and equally effective.

Preserve Embroidery and Delicate Details

Your kurta’s embroidery is what sets it apart. Whether it’s zardozi, sequins, or beading, these features need extra attention during every phase of care.

Protect Embellishments With These Habits:

Turn inside out before washing: Reduces friction that can loosen threads.

Do not scrub or wring: Handle damp sections with care.

Blot spills gently: Avoid rubbing stains deeper into fibers.

Air dry in shade: Prevents fading and preserves luster.

Occasional dry cleaning: Especially for heavily embellished or multi-layered designs.

About 80% of damage to detailed clothing comes from machine agitation or rough handling. Simply turning your kurta inside out and air drying it in the shade can double its lifespan.

Celebrate With Confidence

At Nihal Fashions, we know that caring for your kurta is an act of respect for its artistry. Whether you’re marking tradition at a temple event or dazzling guests at a formal celebration, every stitch tells a story worth preserving.

Risks-of-Poorly-Fitted-Kurta.jpg

Risks of Poorly Fitted Kurta

When it comes to traditional Indian wear, nothing beats the timeless appeal of a well-fitted Kurta Pajama. But the opposite is equally true. A poorly fitted kurta can take away from your confidence, restrict your movement, and diminish the elegance of your entire outfit. If you’re preparing for a celebration, wedding, or festival, choosing the right fit is essential.

Here’s what to know before you buy a kurta for men and how Nihal Fashions helps you avoid the most common style missteps.

Appearance Suffers When Fit Fails

An ill-fitted kurta clings in some places and hangs in others. This imbalance not only feels awkward but also makes you look less polished, no matter how beautiful the fabric may be. Sleeves that fall too low or seams that pull too tightly at the shoulders break the flow of a clean silhouette.

Style Mistakes to Avoid:

Shoulder seams that drop too low

Sleeves that hang past the wrist

Fabric that balloons around the midsection

Embroidery that puckers due to tension

A kurta’s silhouette affects everything from how you appear in photos to how others perceive your poise and presence. Subtle styling cues (such as a properly fitted neckline, side seams that don’t pinch, and a flattering hemline) are essential to pulling off a sharp, confident look. A few centimeters too long or too short can be the difference between well-styled and off-balance.

At Nihal Fashions, our kurtas are designed with proportions that ensure a structured, celebration-ready appearance. Accurate measurements are key, especially for occasions where cameras and compliments are guaranteed.

Discomfort in Daily Wear

Tight-fitting kurtas can restrict your ability to move naturally, making everyday activities feel awkward or strained. Loose-fitting kurtas, meanwhile, shift during wear and often need frequent adjustment. Neither option is ideal for a day filled with movement and interaction.

How Poor Fit Impacts Comfort:

Limited shoulder rotation when raising arms

Side seams digging into the waist

Sleeves that constantly need pulling up

Loose hems that catch on chairs or belts

A well-fitted kurta not only provides freedom of movement but also enhances your confidence in both casual and formal settings. Whether you’re running errands, attending prayers, or welcoming guests at home, discomfort from an ill fit can become a persistent distraction.

Instead, choose a profile that allows breathability and motion. At Nihal Fashions, our sizing chart offers a balanced silhouette that adapts to your body’s natural rhythm. Our team is available to help you choose between standard sizes and custom fits, ensuring your garment supports your lifestyle, not hinders it.

Poor Fit Reduces Garment Lifespan

Even the best fabric will wear out faster under pressure. Tight seams stress the stitching, especially around the underarms and chest, while excess fabric can weaken through constant friction.

Why Fit Affects Durability:

Tight kurtas strain and split at key seams

Loose kurtas wear thin from fabric rubbing together

Embellishments stretch or sag due to improper alignment

Shape distortion occurs after repeated washes

Your kurta should be an investment that lasts through seasons and events. When the fit is right, the fabric breathes better, stitching holds longer, and intricate detailing remains intact. Many customers overlook the hidden wear-and-tear that begins when a kurta pulls unnaturally at tension points.

With a well-fitted kurta from Nihal Fashions, your investment holds up over time. Our true-to-size designs reduce unnecessary tension and keep embroidery looking pristine. Plus, correct length and shoulder alignment help garments retain their original shape after laundering.

Styling Challenges with Layers

Layering is a major part of Indian festive dressing. But layering over a poorly fitted kurta can make your overall look appear bulky or unkempt. Even a luxurious sherwani or Nehru jacket can’t hide the visual imbalance caused by a wrong-fitting base layer.

Layering Issues That Come from Poor Fit:

Nehru jackets bunch at the shoulders due to excess fabric

Long kurtas peek below shorter vests, breaking visual lines

Sleeves that are too loose create folds under tailored outerwear

Cold-weather layering also becomes difficult when a tight kurta limits room for thermals or undershirts. Loose kurtas, on the other hand, make jackets appear oversized or awkward. For those dressing up for weddings, ceremonies, or business events, layering should enhance your look, not add frustration.

To create a cohesive ensemble, make sure your kurta works with (rather than against) your layers. Nihal Fashions provides styling guides to help you match your kurta with seasonal add-ons. With precision tailoring, every layer falls into place effortlessly.

Lack of Confidence at Celebrations

Festive events call for confidence, poise, and photos that last a lifetime. An outfit that doesn’t fit undermines your ability to feel relaxed or proud of your appearance. Cultural attire is meant to celebrate tradition, identity, and community, not trigger self-consciousness.

Confidence Drains from a Poor Fit:

Hesitating to participate in group photos

Comparing yourself to better-fitted guests

Pulling at the fabric instead of enjoying the event

Feeling over- or underdressed because of visual imbalance

Wearing a kurta that fits well boosts not only physical comfort but emotional confidence. You smile more, move more naturally, and fully enjoy the atmosphere. Instead of avoiding the camera, you lean into the experience.

With Nihal Fashions, the right fit means you stand taller, smile more easily, and remain focused on what matters: celebrating in style. Our kurta collection is designed for real-life moments, helping you feel like the best version of yourself with every step.

Risk of Wardrobe Malfunctions

Wardrobe malfunctions don’t just happen on red carpets. At weddings or formal events, something as simple as a sleeve ripping or a hem dragging can interrupt the moment. These accidents are avoidable with proper sizing.

Common Malfunctions Linked to Poor Fit:

Sleeves tearing under movement

Buttons popping open unexpectedly

Necklines shifting during dancing or prayer

Hems catching on footwear or decor

Loose kurtas may tangle with accessories, trip you up while dancing, or sag uncomfortably as you move. Tight ones risk tearing across the shoulders or pulling apart at decorative elements.

Our kurtas are crafted with reinforced seams and thoughtful proportions that hold steady throughout the event. Confidence is knowing your outfit is built for celebration. Whether you’re seated cross-legged or joining the crowd on the dance floor, you’ll feel secure and at ease.

Monsoon changes the rules of hair oiling, here are the tweaks experts say to make

Hair oiling is one of those rituals that feels immune to seasonality. A grandmother’s Sunday routine, a student’s exam-night stress buster, the one constant between winter dryness and summer heat. But monsoon complicates matters. High humidity doesn’t just change the way hair looks and feels; it alters the scalp’s ecosystem altogether. That’s where the debate begins: does hair oiling help restore balance or does it push the scalp further off-kilter?

What humidity does to your scalp

“High humidity traps sweat and sebum, disrupting the scalp’s microbiome and encouraging overgrowth of Malassezia fungi and certain bacteria,” explains Dr Kalyani Deshmukh of Traya. “This leads to itching, inflammation and flaking. Think of your scalp in the monsoon as a tropical greenhouse—warm, damp and perfect for fungal overgrowth. Unless you keep it clean and balanced, nature will take its course in your head.”

She adds that scalp health cannot rely on topical care alone. A protein-rich diet, probiotics for gut balance and nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, biotin and vitamin E all help reinforce the hair shaft and improve keratin production. In other words, monsoon hair health depends as much on what you eat as what you apply

Why dandruff thrives in the rains

The season is notorious for triggering scalp conditions. Dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis are more common as moisture accelerates fungal growth, while poor drying habits and irregular washing make matters worse. Dr Deshmukh recommends lightweight conditioners, careful drying after every wash and avoiding rainwater on the scalp as simple ways to reduce flare-ups

The weight of heavy oils

For some, oiling feels protective, like armour against frizz and breakage. But experts warn that heavy oils can trap sweat and microbes, clogging follicles and causing scalp acne. Dr Deshmukh compares them to cling film that suffocates the scalp rather than nourishing it.

Dr Prachi Bodkhe, dermatologist at Envi Aesthetics, takes the point further: “Heavy, sticky oils like castor oil, mineral oil or thick unprocessed coconut oil should be avoided, as they can trap sweat and dirt, making the scalp a breeding ground for yeasts, other fungal flare-ups and hair follicle infections. Avoid overly fragranced oils as they may irritate an already sensitive scalp.”

Ananya Panday in a safari-print co-ord set channels romance and whimsy

Ananya Panday attended the unveiling of Airbnb’s first original experience in India, in a Montsand look that combined a corset silhouette with pastoral whimsy. The coordinated top and skirt featured the brand’s Safari print, a muted tapestry of beige and sage green illustrating wildlife scenes in the narrative style of French toile de Jouy; an 18th-century technique known for its finely drawn, single-tone motifs set against a pale background.

The top, a corset-inspired bustier with slender straps, buttoned down the front and flared gently at the waist. It flowed into a high-waisted A-line skirt that skimmed mid-calf, finished with discreet pockets that added ease without breaking the rhythm of the print.

Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Ananya Panday punctuated the look with earrings that had an iridescent centre stone, fringed with delicate star-shaped diamonds and a sun-inspired gold ring. On her wrist, she donned the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold watch. Makeup stayed soft and luminous—radiant skin with peachy lips, cheeks and lids—while her hair was swept into a clean updo, with tendrils framing her face.

Co-ords remain a staple silhouette on runways and racks, thanks to their versatility and ease of transitioning between seasons. At Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 show, they came in both botanical-inspired and geometric prints, offering a modern take on resort dressing. In Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2025/26 couture collection, the focus shifted to structure, with sharply tailored tweed. Across both, the modular pull of separates proved as versatile in daywear as it is in couture.

From Vogue’s fashion desk:

“Lean into the romance of the print. A pair of delicate ankle-strap sandals and pearl drop earrings would echo the dress’s painterly charm, while a messy bun would give it an undone, old-world elegance without tipping into costume.,” says Vogue India fashion associate Manglien Gangte.

11 foods for hair growth to add to your plates, according to experts

Now for the good news. If your hair loss is down to certain nutrient deficiencies, adopting a healthy diet for your hair can help. Here we have listed the best foods for hair growth, as selected by the experts.

Best foods for hair growth

Eggs

Eggs are a complete protein source for keratin, the protein that makes up the hair, Ferguson explains. “Plus, there’s biotin and choline in the yolk,” she adds, both of which support the healthy production of keratin and optimal hair follicle formation. Other biotin foods include organ meats, certain vegetables, like sweet potatoes and spinach, and seeds and legumes.

Oily fish

“Salmon, sardines and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty acids that help keep the scalp environment calm. They also contain a helpful dose of vitamin D and iodine,” says Ferguson.

Seeds

“Pumpkin seeds are my go-to for zinc, which your follicles need to keep hair in the growth phase,” Stephenson explains. A simple way to eat more seeds is to pop them in a blender or food processor until they become a grainy powder, which can be sprinkled on top of salads or stirred into yoghurt.

“Seeds, especially pumpkin seeds, flax and almonds, provide zinc, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for scalp circulation and reducing inflammation around hair follicles,” Dr Murthy adds.

Berries

Another vegan hair growth food, berries are stuffed full of antioxidants which can help protect hair follicles and boost collagen.

Iron-rich foods

“Red meat, liver (sparingly), shellfish, lentils and spinach paired with a source of vitamin C to help with absorption can help with healthy hair growth,” Alex Manos, functional medicine practitioner at The HVN, says. “Because of the role iron plays in hair follicle proliferation, low iron stores are often one of the areas we investigate when we see diffuse (evenly across the head) hair loss.”

While the evidence is mixed, Manos says that iron deficiency is a recognised and reversible factor with hair loss in certain people, but especially women. If in doubt, an iron or ferritin blood test will confirm iron deficiency or anaemia.

Stuck for iron-rich recipes? Think warming stews made with beef, lamb or chicken livers, or, for a vegetarian option, one that contains lentils, spinach and sweet potato.

Brazil nuts

In moderation, brazil nuts can be a hugely helpful source of selenium, a trace mineral that helps with immunity, cell damage, thyroid health and hair growth. However, you only need to consume a small amount–one to two Brazil nuts–to reap the benefits.

Leafy greens

In his clinic, Murthy blends functional medicine with Ayurvedic practices and likes to pair protein-rich foods with dark, leafy vegetables like Moringa and curry leaves for their iron and chlorophyll. “This helps support both haemoglobin, a protein found in red blood cells, as well as prana – vital life force.” Stephenson also points out that leafy greens “feed your follicles with iron, folate and vitamin A, all of which are important for hair growth”.

Bone broth or collagen powder

As beneficial as it is trendy, bone broth can help support the connective tissue around the hair follicle, as well as that in your skin. “Bone broth or collagen powder can top up glycine and proline,” Ferguson explains, noting that these two amino acids are important for collagen production.

Legumes

Stephenson recommends incorporating legumes like lentils, beans, peas, and chickpeas into your diet, due to their protein, iron and lysine, all of which help to support and fortify hair.

Fermented foods

“A spoonful of fermented foods, such as sauerkraut, kimchi, or live yoghurt help with gut health and nutrient absorption,” Ferguson explains. A high-quality probiotic can also help with diversifying the bacteria in your gut, helping a healthy microbiome to flourish.

Healthy fats

Murthy likes healthy fat sources like ghee, avocado and cold-pressed sesame oil to nourish the bodily systems Ayurveda links to hair health – bone tissue and marrow or nervous tissue. For similar reasons, Ferguson says she’s generous with her intake of extra virgin olive oil and nuts. “They’re supportive fats that carry fat-soluble nutrients,” she explains.

Are there any foods to avoid?

There are five to steer clear of, according to Stephenson.

8 new ways to wear jeans and a white t-shirt this season

As far as wardrobe staples go, few pairings are as quietly dependable or deceptively versatile as a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt. Worn well, it’s the everyday equivalent of a perfectly tailored suit – considered yet uncomplicated. When styling indecision sets in and nothing else feels quite right, I often reach for my favourite wide-leg jeans and boxy Uniqlo T-shirt. And despite the formula’s unassuming reputation, I’ve come to learn that its simplicity is where its strengths lie.

Of course, eternal outfit inspiration comes from Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the face of the clean-lined minimalism that defined much of the ’90s. Today, we like to call it “quiet luxury”, yet there was nothing quiet about how Bessette-Kennedy put an outfit together. She understood the power of restraint and how a pair of perfectly cut jeans and a simple T-shirt could look intentional, too.

Modern-day savants include Katie Holmes, Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, whose off-duty wardrobes all regularly feature iterations of the classic pairing. Whether worn baggy and tucked in with a sharp blazer, cropped under an oversized coat, or tightly fitted with slingback heels, the look endures, season after season.

And while the jeans and white T-shirt formula might be foundational, I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t have to feel formulaic. If anything, I see it as a blank canvas for fashion’s more expressive flourishes, be it a well-placed accessory, an unexpected silhouette or a great layer slung over the shoulders.

Really, what makes the combination so enduring is that most of us already have some version of it tucked away in our drawers – it doesn’t rely on trend cycles or spending a small fortune to work. A simple shift in silhouette, a different denim wash or a subtle tuck can make this universal uniform into something entirely your own.

Scroll to discover eight tried-and-tested ways to breathe new life into jeans and a white T-shirt.

Horoscope Today: August 19, 2025

Cosmic tip: Don your practical wisdom-fueled hat to make this work.

Yes. Move, move, move. Move in that direction that you know you deserve and feel right for you. Sag, when you look far ahead into the distance, do you notice the sun shining once again, and does it feel so good? Great. Now stop looking back, wishing things were different, or that you showed up differently. Although on Earth, time may be linear, in the cosmos, time does not exist. So use this to your advantage. Your healing can happen sooner than you think, doors can open when you are ready, not when linear time kicks in, and the past can resolve itself if you choose to let go. And everything you are experiencing now can resolve itself in a heartbeat in the quantum realm, even if it takes a minute to show up in your reality now.

Cosmic tip: Make the best choice for you now, and your future will resolve itself.

Undecided, torn between worlds—if this has been you, Capricorn, karmic justice is being delivered to you shortly. A phase is about to come to a close, a nd you are going to be on the happier side of the fence. Your guidance is to keep standing tall, keep your flame alive and take charge of your life with creativity and passion. Be the torchbearer, but also ensure you are walking on firm ground because that is the only way you can anchor yourself and make things happen for you and everyone else.

Cosmic tip: Joy, stability, and positive outcomes are all here for you. It’s homecoming time.

The cosmos may have been urging you towards learning how to manage your finances more effectively, Aquarius. Late, if you feel you’ve been on a streak, stop and ask yourself, what has it been drawing your attention to? The pause is not for you to mistrust people or situations, the pause has been for you to make a raincheck and eliminate what doesn’t fit well with you anymore. If finances have been a source of strain, ask yourself if you have made enough effort to manage and streamline them. If not, then why? Similarly, for anything else you may have been facing.

Cosmic tip: Balance intuition with action, and make choices that feel right over seeming right.

If you’ve been feeling called to rest and if you have already hung your boots for a bit, Pisces, you are not only back feeling rejuvenated, but also full of beans and ideas. Yes, you’re at the brink of a fortunate new start, and yes, you can see far ahead into the future. However, you also need to get organised and systematic about it. Just like a warm-up is essential before you jump right into some heavy-duty exercise, so is the same for everything in life. Hard, consistent work always pays off.

Cosmic tip: Reflect, plan and act.

Rosé’s dog Hank went from rescue pup to Instagram’s most followed dog

If you could tell your dog one thing, what would it be?

Hank? Oh my gosh. If I could tell him one thing, I tell him a lot of things and I just assume he understands. But let’s say he doesn’t understand. Then in that case, I would tell him that I wish I could spend every minute of my day with him.

What is the most human thing your dog does?

The most human thing my dog does is, let’s think: He knows how to ask for things, as if he knows how to ask for water. He scrapes his water bowl and he knows how to ask for toys because he scrapes the box with his hand and then he looks at us and he basically demands that we take out a toy.

And he knows how to take care of all four of us as a family. He’s the happiest when we’re all together. I’ve noticed that when I’m by myself, he seems a bit sad. If I have one more family member, he becomes happy, two more—even happier! And when all four of us are together, he’s the happiest dog ever. It’s so adorable.

What is the most dog thing your dog does?

When we come back home, he always makes us take off our socks. He grabs our socks and he pulls them off our feet. It’s his most prized possession, our socks, and I think it’s because it has our scents or something. He takes the socks and thinks all of our socks are his so he’ll hide them under his blankets. It’s very adorable.

What is your full name? (Including middle names)

Hank Park (no middle name).

Astrological sign?

I was born on May 5, the same day as Children’s Day in Korea. That would make me a Taurus. Tauruses are known to have a good fashion sense, and my mom tells me I look great in everything.

Favourite toy?

My family’s socks.

Favourite meal?

I’m allergic to a lot of things, so my family feeds me a clean diet. I love the beef and chicken snacks that they make for me.

Worst habit?

I’m perfect. I have no bad habits.

Strangest habit?

My family says my strangest habit is that I take all of their socks. Although I don’t think that it is weird!
