7 stackable wristwatches from Deepika Padukone’s collection

Deepika Padukone, global brand ambassador for Cartier, often opts for a wristwatch, either stacked with other pieces or by itself. Once a functional staple, the watch has persisted in all our wardrobes alongside smartwatches and new-age inventions. The old analogue accessory may no longer be a necessity, but its aesthetic appeal is, well, timeless. “It’s a creative statement,” Marie-Laure Cérède, Cartier’s creative director of watchmaking, tells Vogue in a 2021 interview. “I don’t want my Cartier watch to tell me the time. My time is busy, and this is an object of grace and beauty.”

Padukone’s style spans from Tissot’s vintage leather-strapped timepiece to Chopard‘s iconic dials with dancing diamonds. Here are seven pieces you’ll want to borrow from the actor’s wristwatch collection.

The Padmaavat actor’s go-to watch is a Panthère de Cartier, one of Cartier’s most distinctive designs. It was created in the ’80s, and is set with a synthetic blue spinel, a sharp contrast to the silvered dial. The straps are stainless steel and yellow gold. Here, she has stacked it with a gold Cartier Love bracelet and a gold and diamond Cartier Juste Un Clou bracelet.

How to nail styling capri pants with these summer 2025 shoe trends

Capri pants have haters, but they also have fans. The trend takes us back to the 2000s, when they were worn by Latina fashionistas like Thalia, but also by celebrities like Carrie Bradshaw. And how can we forget the time when they appeared on the Chanel Spring-Summer 2006 runway?

What makes the piece interesting is undoubtedly the silhouette, shorter than traditional pants, longer than traditional shorts, which leads to one of the biggest style questions: What shoes do you wear with capris?

Capri designs are the perfect hybrid between Bermuda shorts and slim pants; they have an intimidating length, as they tend to shorten the silhouette if not styled the right way. However, it’s not blouses or blazers that adapt to create a flattering visual result, but the shoes. It’s true, they’re in charge.

If we had to choose a piece that determines the success of the look, it would be the shoes. These can give a different connotation to any combination, they can elevate it or, on the contrary, sentence it to oblivion. Since they’re the answer to all stylistic dilemmas, we decided to select the shoes street style experts are wearing with capri pants and prove that they are and will be a promising, avant-garde choice.

Horoscope Today: June 11, 2025

Cosmic tip: Are you productive or are you simply busy?

Look how far you’ve come, not how far you are yet to go! Sag, we get it, you can tend to channel your inner Virgo sometimes (read: perfectionism), but really, what is perfect? You may like a size zero, but a size zero may love a size 12. This is the end of an era – something that marks the end of a cycle. This is your opportune time to rewrite your story, weave a new tapestry and upgrade the colour palette to your current liking. You are not here to judge, nor are you here to be judged. Just stay in your lane and keep your eyes on your track. Let others do them as you do you.

Cosmic tip: What epiphanies strike you? They are messages from the cosmos.

If you knew you were protected, how would you feel, what would you do, and what would you choose? Capricorn, cut away all that is flooding your life, creating more chaos than peace. You are at the brink of a breakthrough, and when you are in a rush, you can seldom hear the voice of your soul. Your health, happiness and contentment need a more easy-going approach. Your life, your thoughts and your dreams need you to calm down instead of darting around like a headless chicken. Take one moment at a time to create what you wish to – one step at a time, one task at a time and one breath at a time.

Cosmic tip: You cannot be everything to everyone, so choose to be what you can be to who you wish to be there for.

When faced with adversity, you have two choices: stress out or pull your socks up. Aquarius, you lofty cosmic warrior, why are you hiding away? When you know you deserve better, don’t you think it is time for you to begin asking for it? Don’t you think your voice matters? Your angels and guides support you, activating your deepest hidden truths and cosmic voice. Your life is multifaceted, so are your circumstances. Embrace the technicolour kaleidoscope that your life is and enjoy the layers as they peel themselves off.

Cosmic tip: You are an iridescent diamond, so stop chasing only one colour of light.

You are at the precipice of something amazing, Pisces. The stars are aligning just right, there is magic in the air, and you, my dear dreamy dragon, are about to realise the power you hold in your life. If you find yourself more chatty and buzzy than usual, make hay while this sun is shining – catch up with old friends, meet up with people, attend that networking do and do something to build your tribe. This may not be your zodiac season, but it is your season to shine still.

Cosmic tip: Remember your true self and stay aligned.

Karan Tejpal’s Stolen begs you not to blindly believe that WhatsApp forward

Stolen takes us to an unnamed place in rural Rajasthan where two urbane brothers accidentally get pulled into a child kidnapping case, and their world spirals soon after. The bystanders come and go, and the brothers are sucked into the cycle of WhatsApp rumours and the ensuing violence. At home, their mother, who plans to remarry, anxiously expects them. Abhishek Banerjee, who plays the elder brother, tells me that when they were shooting the mob lynching scene in the film, an elderly gentleman ended up intervening, not knowing it was a shoot.

“When I rewatched the film recently, I noticed that we’d retained him in the film,” Banerjee says, joined by Tejpal and producer Gaurav Dhingra on Zoom. “But it’s interesting that he only intervenes after the cops and their jeeps come to save the character who’s getting lynched. He couldn’t muster the courage earlier, but he was the only one who did step forward.”

Is there an inherent evil that stays the hand of the innocent bystander? Where do people like the elderly gentleman disappear when a mob overruns our common sense and humanity? The way Banerjee sees it, Stolen is not against the idea of a mob. The film, he notes, shows us three kinds of mobs: the first that is confused and wants to help the poor woman whose daughter was lifted from a railway station in the middle of the night; the second with bloodlust and a warped sense of justice; and the third that ultimately secures justice for the stolen child.

Why you won’t catch me at a ‘sober rave’ anytime soon

I know how I sound: cynical, hateful and curmudgeonly. And that’s probably because I am. But there’s something that feels distinctly Westernised and overly earnest about many of these wellness-style sober raves (it’s no surprise that the aforementioned sauna raves were a big thing in New York first). When I look deep into my soul and ask what it is about these sober raves that irks me so, it’s probably because they combine my two least favourite things: organised fun and extraversion, with an indefinable lack of irony smattered over proceedings. Also, what happened to good old-fashioned “hanging with friends” or “going for a coffee” or even, dare I say it, “enjoying a picnic”? Why not just go to a regular party and drink soda water instead? Does being sober mean you have to wear yoga pants?

Despite my arguably quite unfair aversions (I know, I know, nobody is putting a gun to my head and forcing me to a coffee rave), I do actually think there are a few cool-looking sober parties that don’t involve whoop-whooping in bakeries. Last month, Jaipur-based Alchemist Coffee Company joined hands with award-winning non-alcoholic spirit Sober to throw a rave, which basically looked like a regular club night but for sober people. I could also appreciate that it was from 7-10pm instead of going on until an ungodly 4am. I think it’s commendable that plenty of venues have, in recent years, improved their drinks options, so that sober people aren’t forced to chug Coke all night like a six-year-old at a birthday party.

Even so, you probably won’t catch me at a sober rave anytime soon—especially not one which aligns itself with wellness. I’d rather just go to the spa, without the strobe lights, or enjoy a nice relaxing gong bath without being forced to dance “ecstatically” (why are all these dance events so “ecstatic”?). Or reap the benefits of a sauna without being squished between hundreds of glistening bodies booty-shaking in my face on a Sunday afternoon.

It’s, of course, a positive thing that the sober and sober-curious movement appears to be growing, and I think we’ve still got a long way to go towards ensuring that sober people feel included within nightlife spaces. But, please, let’s not do aerobics while mainlining cacao balls before work and call it a rave.

It’s confirmed—Enrique Iglesias will return to India on October 30

If your wallet is still recovering from Guns N’ Roses and you thought your bank account could rest easy for the year after Travis Scott’s Delhi concert on October 18 and 19, there’s good news for your ears, bad news for your savings account. Make space in your phone gallery, because after six months of committing performances by Coldplay, Bryan Adams, Shawn Mendes, Glass Animals and Green Day to virtual memory, it is most likely bursting to the brim with photos and videos. Suffice to say, you’re going to need that extra GB of space because after a month of will-he-won’t-he, Vogue India finally has confirmation that Spanish singer-songwriter and certified heartthrob (I mean, have you seen him with Anna Kournikova in ‘Escape’?) Enrique Iglesias is set to perform in Mumbai this October.

The first Spanish word I ever learnt was ‘Bailamos’ (we dance) through the iconic Enrique song, and it has followed me through different clubs in different countries. The Grammy-winning artist’s hits from decades ago—‘Addicted’, ‘Hero’, ‘Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)’—still come up on my Spotify Wrapped. As they should, because there’s an Enrique song for every reason and every season. A breakup? ‘Somebody’s Me’. A night out at the club? ‘I Like It’. Falling in love? ‘Escape’. You can expect Iglesias to belt out all of these, plus more recent hits like ‘Pendejo’ and ‘Te Fuiste’ from his latest album Final during his concert at MMRDA Grounds, BKC, Mumbai on October 30, 2025, produced and promoted by live event company, EVA Live in partnership with BEW Live. And if you’re lucky, well, you could be the one he brings on stage to serenade while performing ‘Hero’, like he does during most of his concerts.

As of now, Mumbai seems to be the only stop on the artist’s 2025 tour—a city he had skipped during his Euphoria World Tour in 2012 when he performed in Pune, Gurugram and Bengaluru. And although it has been 13 long years since he last performed here, India hasn’t left Iglesias’s mind. In 2019, he shared a blurry video from his previous trip to India, where a fan riding a bike followed his car to sneak a peek at him. “Are you Enrique?” he asked when a reporter who was already in the car with Iglesias lowered the glass. When the singer answered ‘yes’, the man gushed, “It was a pleasure seeing you here, man. You’re a rockstar. We all love you here a lot.” Six years have passed since then, but I speak on behalf of most Indians when I say that we still feel the same way about the man who gave us ‘Rhythm Divine’.

8 times when artists reimagined iconic handbags—LV x Takashi Murakami collab to Prada’s work with street artists

One night last week, somewhere between my ritualistic doomscrolling through Instagram and a third bedtime timer screaming at me to go to sleep, I came across a video of Loewe’s Puzzle bag drop for its 10th anniversary. A smile spread across my face. A tiny miracle really, to feel actual happiness mid-doomscroll. Not the fleeting serotonin hit of a meme, but that feeling you get when good art causes you to stop and stare in awe.

The bags were joyous, appearing to have been stitched out of glitter confetti. One had been painted with cloudscapes, while the other had paintings of white-and-yellow daisies dotted against black leather. Each felt like an unexpected little story. It made me think about all the other moments when fashion handed the reins over to artists. When familiar iconic handbags got pulled apart, put back together, and came out in a different lens. Below are eight moments when artists entered the atelier and the result was something quietly radical.

1. Loewe Puzzle 10 (2025)

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its iconic Puzzle bag, Loewe launched the Puzzle 10 collection. Nineteen Puzzle bags, each responding to a different cultural thread. From William Morris’s foliage to a manga-style print that is a nod to Studio Ghibli, the re-editions are less about uniformity than eclecticism. As objects, they hold the form of the beloved Puzzle. As artworks, they augment it.

2. Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami (2003–2025)

Before “collab” became a category on every drop-down menu, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami’s super-flat take on the LV monogram changed how luxury saw itself. It didn’t borrow from pop culture, it was the OG. A smiling cherry here, a grinning skull there. The fact that every millennial can close their eyes and imagine the super-flat LV print from the early 2000s is the proof in the pudding. That white bag—featuring the classic monogram and motifs in a rainbow of pink, turquoise, yellow and kelly green—was on every celebrity’s arm. Recently, The City bag got an update for the 2025 collaboration, with Zendaya as the face of the campaign. The recent uptick in resale searches shows the originals are still being hunted down, making this one of the most successful collaborations in fashion history.

Navkirat Sodhi on survival, surrender and the poetry of starting over after a life-changing accident

I never knew how fast fire spreads. It started with a tea light along the driveway. As we were leaving a party, I felt heat at my ankles and in the time it took me to look down, the flames had reached my thighs. My instinct was to extinguish the fire with my hands or tear my skirt, but the fabric had disappeared, leaving in its stead melting skin. Animalistic, guttural howls escaped my throat as I tried to cut through the flames with an invisible sword. GG [fashion designer Gaurav Gupta] rushed in to help me and started shouting for water, and luckily, a guard nearby had a bucket-full kept aside for his air cooler. He splashed that on us from a distance. GG’s right hand was scorched and I remember thinking, “That’s his sketching hand.”

Navkirat Sodhi—photographed here before her accident—is an artist who weaves poetry through fashion, performance and visual storytelling

The Navkirat Sodhi I was before the accident prided herself on being fiercely independent–physically, emotionally and spiritually. During the recovery months, I learnt that dependency is not weakness. In fact, the sharing of pain can lead to conjoined healing. Time, too, changed meaning. As I swung between various dimensions—whether from heavy drugs, incomprehensible pain or deep meditation—I realised that time, as we understand it, is imaginary. All that matters is what you sculpt from it. Time in its larger form, where births and rebirths occur simultaneously, is too vast for us to grasp. All we can do is wonder and surrender.

Straight-leg jeans and loafers will always be a trusted celebrity uniform

Last year, Vogue’s Alice Newbold declared that “boring street style is the best street style,” and nothing proves this more than the ultimate celebrity-doing-errands uniform–straight-leg jeans and loafers. It’s a double act you’ll see in every airport terminal and coffee shop from London to Los Angeles – “an outfit to live in, not pose in,” as Newbold put it.

It’s what celebrities wear when they want to look normal–an antidote to all that peacocking that has to be done in the name of promotion. Although in many ways it’s simple and unremarkable, it has that effortless, thrown-together California look that drives the denim market.

With an outfit like this, it pays to be precise about fit and focus on the finer details. A ’90s straight-leg silhouette has been dominating in recent years – Agolde’s ’90s Pinch Waist Jeans receive adoration in fashion circles for a reason, while Levi’s 501s are deeply woven into pop culture. Starting as a practical working overall in 1873, they have been tweaked over the last 152 years, with straight-leg silhouettes defining the current Levi’s look.

As for the loafers, you can keep it classic with a leather Gucci Jordaan or Duke + Dexter structured Penny loafer, or add a twist with a backless slipper-like style, the boat shoe iterations that are trending thanks to Miu Miu, or a sophisticated woven leather style that no one does better than Bottega Veneta. For more everyday styling inspiration, see how the likes of Dakota Johnson, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber are styling their jeans and loafers below.

Horoscope Today: June 10, 2025

You love living outside the lines, you love stepping into your best shoes, and you love to lead. Then, Leo, what is stopping you? Get onto your next adventure with full awareness, expecting the best possible outcome. Share your worries with the moon and ask it to release them all into the cosmos for healing as the full moon approaches. Ask the earth to support you and ground you, ask the wind to clear your mind, and ask the water to cleanse your emotions. This may feel like a rebirth, so make it one that is high-vibing and pure.

Cosmic tip: Live life as if it is your first day every day.

Dress up in your most shimmering outfit, put on your best shoes, take a moment to do your hair up, smell good, and step into the sun each morning as if you are here to conquer the day and your life. Virgo, take dressing for the part to the next level, seriously. And watch your life transform. Now, before you go max out your credit card, wait. Raising your standards need not come with merely shelling big bucks on brands you cannot afford yet. What the cosmos really implies is that if you were already living a version of your life that you have been dreaming of, how would you show up? Show up that way.

Cosmic tip: Awaken your inner light and shine brighter.

Trust your vibes! Libra, the full moon is upon us, and you may be feeling it in all the wrong ways–your emotions, your mental frame, perhaps even the way you have been spending and interacting with life may be feeling maxed out, along with your credit card. Lo and behold! This time of cleansing and clarity is bringing into your life many experiences and aha moments that help you suddenly and swiftly let go, welcome peace and perhaps even make peace with life. You have opened your heart to the cosmos, and the cosmos is responding. Just hold your ground for a tiny bit.

Cosmic tip: The purity of your body, mind, and soul determines the purity of what flows into your life.
