Cosmic tip: Tap into your inner tao and carve your own path to success.

You leapt off with complete faith into an unknown abyss. You met your demons and befriended them. You even surfaced with some shiny new ideas and here you are Sag, at the brink of a new beginning. This is your time to merge practicality with your idealistic plans to ensure you are making headway along your path. There may have been a lot you may have wished to do differently or you may still be wishing to change, however, a bird in hand is better than one in the bush. So ask yourself how you can make this your golden hen?

Cosmic tip: Balance your future with your present to weave magic in your life.

In your quest for perfection and self improvement, do you tend to withdraw into your shell so much that you keep wondering when you’d finally be happy again? Capricorn! Happiness is already around you, and you will notice it if you choose to slow down, adopt a more nurturing approach to life and perhaps even let certain pieces of the puzzle fall away to reveal new ones. When change conspires, not all is doomed. Adopt a methodical and diligent approach to your goals, stay disciplined and consistent in your approach to life and soon you will realise that all that overthinking may have got you feeling stuck in the past, however, the tiny steps you decided to take have gotten you further along in your path than you imagined.

Cosmic tip: Let your intuition be your guide, not your fears.

Safeguard your ideas. You may have the best interest at heart for everyone and you may be sharing your thoughts and dreams with the world out of excitement, however, Aquarius, beware of oversharing. Everytime you speak of your desires with someone who may be struggling or may be on a different wavelength, you steal a little bit of their magic. Stay excited about your goals, take charge of your life and let your actions speak for themselves. You don’t need permission anymore, so stop seeking validation too.

Cosmic tip: You have it in you to make your dreams come true.

In so many ways you’ve been wishing to go back to more innocent and simpler times and nostalgia may have hit you real hard! Pisces, the way head may seem challenging and difficult, however, you are in a place to reclaim lost parts of you and even perhaps set yourself up for better tidings that are more in sync with your goals for life ahead. While the cosmos grants you one humongous wish, don’t you sit reminiscing about the three tiny ones it is replacing. You asked for freedom and you are being set free.

Cosmic tip: Get on a journey to craft your future.

A wispy sari for a summer soirée is the stuff of dreams. Just ask Kalki Koechlin, who made the season-appropriate sartorial shift in a Chanderi drape. The sari is made using handwoven Chanderi with natural dyes and eco-friendly techniques. It took approximately 10 days just to weave,” says designer Sarika Kakrania of the label.

The clumsiest zodiac signs, ranked

The strangest sign of superlative intelligence? Clumsiness. And the clumsiest zodiac signs may sometimes trip over their own feet, walk into crystal clear glass doors, spill coffee on their new clothes or say the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person. These signs may not win awards for their poise, but they more than make up for it with heart, humour and a whole lot of personality. So, who are the zodiac’s most lovable klutzes? Read on to know whether you fall among the clumsiest zodiac signs:

Sagittarius

With so much constantly unfolding in their lives and inside their heads, it’s hard to blame them for ending up on this list. These enthu-cutlets often tip over into recklessness, sometimes knocking over a drink or a heart. But in all fairness, they don’t mean harm. Their insatiable appetite for life means they are always in between things, walking on thin ice, not knowing where their next step will lead them.

Cancer

A Cancerian’s innate need to be the mothership while also running on fumes puts them on edge and, well, makes them clumsy. They often tend to dive into new adventures with all their heart, and little or no head, and before they know it, they have more on their plate than they could eat in a year. And honestly, given all that chaos, a slip-up is to be expected.

Gemini

In one instance, they wish to travel to Rome, in the other, they get busy learning how to bake a cake—all while simultaneously penning a tome about their life. Geminis are not part of a circus; they are the circus, and juggling between so many hats makes them outstandingly creative but also absent-minded and removed from reality.

Aquarius

With their eyes on the sky and a spring in their feet, Aquarians charge into life with an open heart, bumping into everything that is in their path. They love speed, be it behind the wheel or in their daily activities, making them restless, always looking for the next shiny object that catches their fancy. Ever ready to jetset (in reality or in their minds), they may appear aloof, but in truth, they are daydreamers out on adventures every waking moment.

Leo

Creating lasting impressions and memories is their motto, and this holds true even when they fall flat on their face. In their quest to be the centre of attention, Leos may walk themselves into drama, mishaps and contests that leave them gasping for breath. If there is one zodiac sign that can make spilling red wine on a white couch or unintentionally walking over someone’s emotions look good, it is Leo. They have a flair to make even the sloppiest acts seem grandiose, for better or worse.

Aries

Haste may make waste, but not in an Aries mind. They initiate, fizzle out, begin new things and leave them halfway to set out on an adventure that only makes sense to them. Be it a cluttered mind or an overflowing closet space, they can shift from drama to minimalism before you’ve even had a chance to catch your breath. Can you picture being in their heads for a minute? What an exhilarating, chaotic ride that would be.

What to do if you hate your job—but can’t just quit

The go-to advice for what to do if you hate your job is often some version of “Just quit! Put your mental health first!” Which sounds amazing, in theory. The problem? It’s not that simple.

Few people truly love their jobs one hundred per cent of the time: According to experts we spoke to, feeling stressed, overwhelmed and even disliking your occupation from time to time is common—though it’s also far different from experiencing constant dread, burnout and emotional detachment. Those are signs that your mental health has been seriously affected.

But not only is telling someone to walk away from their main source of income unrealistic, it’s also extremely dismissive, according to Kerri Smith-Osei, LMFT, licensed therapist and founder of Nuff Healing in Woodland Hills, California. “It’s actually awful advice,” says Smith-Osei. For one, anyone stuck in a miserable profession has most definitely already thought (dreamed!) about leaving. More importantly, though, “people have responsibilities,” she points out. “They have bills. Their health insurance is usually tied to their jobs. And for marginalised communities, there are systems in place that make it really hard to just quit.”

That’s why anyone in this position deserves better, actionable advice—the kind that isn’t out-of-touch or generically cheesy. And while, unfortunately, there’s no quick fix for longstanding systemic issues that keep us in less-than-desirable positions, we did ask therapists for the most realistic advice about what to do if you hate your job and can’t afford to leave. Here are their tips.

1. Meet your expectations—nothing more

In today’s hustle culture, there’s often pressure to go above and beyond your day-to-day duties. Covering a coworker’s shift when they’re sick, answering emails at all hours, attending “mandatory” meetings even on your day off…that’s what you’re supposed to do, right?

But when your job is completely destroying your mental health, one of the simplest things you can do is to scale back your workload a bit—and there are ways to do that without tanking your reputation or getting flagged for poor performance. “Don’t underperform,” Smith-Osei says—meaning, don’t start showing up an hour late or blowing off critical tasks you’re expected to complete.

Instead, figure out your own definition of “bare minimum,” Smith-Osei suggested, which “can look like saying, ‘I’m going to get back to you tomorrow’ instead of answering every late-night request that comes across your table, or turning off notifications after-hours because that’s literally protecting your peace.” In other words, do what’s required—and leave it at that.

2. Block out time for breaks (and actually use them)

Don’t just scarf down lunch while answering calls or sitting through a meeting. Use any designated breaks to actually step away and take a breather. “A lot of the time, we go to the break room or whatever and we’re still seeing our colleagues, talking about work,” says Tiffany Young, PhD, LPC, a therapist based in Waxahachie, Texas, and author of Anxiety Goals: The Little Black Book of Day to Day Management of Anxiety for Black Women.

I Have Rosacea – Here’s How I Ate My Way To Better Skin

“We were one of the first brands to talk about the skin microbiome and healing inflammation,” she said. “Over the last four years, though, we’ve seen the evolution of research into the gut-skin-brain axis. We’d always suspected that there was a link between what you eat and your skin but the exact mechanisms weren’t understood. While people observed the changes in their skin, dermatologists weren’t in favour of the theory as they couldn’t explain how it worked. Now, though, thanks to more recent studies, we can prove that an inflamed gut can translate into inflamed skin.”

Dr Drago also noted that there tends to be a link between digestive issues like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) and skin conditions. And that treatment of said condition can benefit the entire axis. “For example, if you take antibiotics for SIBO, you’ll likely experience relief from your rosacea symptoms, too.”

Foods that support your gut and your skin

While I was fascinated by these findings, I found them overwhelming. For a total beginner like me, how could I begin to make positive changes? I asked Dr Drago if I could “repair” or “cleanse” my gut. “Emptying everything is not the way, the idea is to care and support,” she told me. “Just like you take care of your garden–you’re not burning everything down and starting from scratch again.” Instead, Dr Drago recommended a simple approach.

“Eat 30 different nuts, fruits vegetables, cereals and spices per week,” she said. “The more diverse your food is, the more diverse your gut microbiome is going to be. Diversity, like in every ecosystem, breeds resilience and health.” To understand more, Dr Drago suggested I listen to The Gut Stuff podcast.

Another trusted friend, Dr Justine Hextall, consultant dermatologist at the Tarrant Street Clinic, is similarly passionate about understanding the relationship between the gut and the skin. “Alcohol and sugar are not great for the gut barrier,” she told me. “I’m not saying you can’t eat cake or have a drink, but it’s something to be mindful of. Instead, try and focus on complex foods, rainbow-coloured vegetables and fermented foods like kombucha, yoghurts and kefir, that feed your gut bacteria.” She also suggested eating within a window, noting that fasting can help support the good bacteria in your gut. “If you feel like you need a snack, stick to something simple.” Think yoghurt with blueberries and flaxseeds.

How to wear jeans with 90s’ plaid shirts that are coming back this summer

While it may seem that all plaid shirts feature the same pattern, there is actually a wide array of appealing options that cater to the unique style preferences of each woman. For instance, grunge aesthetic designs can be recognised by their modern tartan in shades of red, green, yellow, and black, as depicted in the photograph. These shirts echo the fashion of Kurt Cobain in the 90s or skater-style tops, and they are best styled in a collegiate manner with multiple layers. Pair them with wide black jeans featuring a folded hem, a strappy top beneath the standout shirt, a varsity jacket, and square-toed ankle boots- an effortlessly modern and chic look that will make you stand out from afar.

Layered looks or outfits that blend various styles will keep making an impact in the city. A great example of this is the following suggestion: opt for a brown lumberjack shirt paired with coordinating jeans. Instead of buttoning it up, throw it over a simple cotton t-shirt, allowing your lingerie to be seen, and finish off with flat shoes. While it might seem unconventional at first, it works surprisingly well, providing the inspiration you need to break free from predictable style choices.

Horoscope Today: May 10, 2025

Cosmic tip: Give your all for the cosmos to give you it’s all.

In how many ways have you really grown, Sag? Can you even recognise the person you once used to be – set aside the cringe meter? The way you think and perceive this world and your life today is nothing short of a magical growth chart because what you are living today, you never once imagined you would ever get here. So instead of wallowing in your current perceived challenges, consider getting a second opinion – rope in a friend, seek a mentor or find an objective sounding board to help you clear your thoughts and flow with life again.

Cosmic tip: You are here to learn to love yourself.

Your body has been screaming out signs loud and clear, Capricorn. Have you been listening? That uneasiness in your stomach, that subtle pain in your knee, that crumbly feeling in your back may be showing you all the ways in which you may have pushed yourself too much. At the same time, those fluttering butterflies, that refreshed perspective, that glimmer of hope you feel in your bones are telling you that you are on track and you must expect the best to conspire. You may have done your bit by nurturing your children or your inner child and now the time is here to receive abundantly.

Cosmic tip: Prepare to receive at every level.

An excess of anything is not good, Aquarius – not even effort. When you are creating a masterpiece – be it your body, your craft, your relationships, your life or anything else, you must remember that too much of any element can actually imbalance the entire picture. Go sober for a day or two – drop your coffee, drop your social media, drop a negative thought trajectory, drop the need to overrefine what you do, drop alcohol, drop anything that is a habit but actually serves no tangible purpose. Going easy on yourself will help you say more yes to life and the things you like by helping you assess what truly matters to you.

Cosmic tip: You can power through this mindfully.

Expecting an optimistic outcome is half the work that goes into manifesting miracles, the other half is trusting your gut and putting in work in accordance to it. Pisces, you have come a long way in your journey where you no longer second guess yourself when you see the signs benign thrown your way. You no longer hide your voice, instead, you share freely what you think of and desire, without shrinking yourself to fit the size of the room. You are acting through grace and wisdom – which is not formed purely in facts but based a lot in experience.

Cosmic tip: Be your own philosopher, friend and guide.

Parsi20Gara20sari20Natasha20Poonawalla.jpeg

We saw it on Natasha Poonawalla’s recent Met Gala look, but what exactly is the Parsi Gara sari?

At the Met Gala 2025, Natasha Poonawalla wore a look created from two vintage Parsi Gara saris by Manish Malhotra. The focal point of the entrepreneur’s ensemble was a sculpted fishtail skirt, created from two vintage Parsi Gara saris, one of which was a century-old treasure from the archives. The fabric, a tapestry of hand-embroidered silken threads, spoke to the rich legacy of Indian partisanship. Complementing the skirt was a corset-cummerbund paired with a delicate vintage French lace bralette, edged in scalloped pearls—an embodiment of dandyism, where structured form meets understated luxury.

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Embroidered to life with photorealistic precision, the Parsi Gara sari is a unique member in the exhaustive variety of crafts found in the country. Predominantly worn by the Parsi community during weddings and special occasions, the exquisite Gara sari deserves not to be stashed away just for those big days. Vogue spoke to Ashdeen Lilaowala about the history of the embroidery, its evolution and the lesser-known facts.

Tell us about the origins of Gara

Gara embroidery came into our design lexicon at a time when the Parsis from India would travel to China for trade. They carried opium and cotton with them from India, which was bartered for tea in China. Tea as a commodity was gaining a lot of popularity in Europe and the British wanted to sell more tea in Europe. The Parsis quickly became rich trading with the British.

When they came back on their ships, they also brought back ceramics and various other antiques that were available in China. Legend says that one of the traders brought back a new kind of artistic embroidery, which was very realistic in its depiction of flora and fauna and was targeted to the European market. Eventually, it was commissioned as a five-and-a-half-metre sari for the traders from India. Earlier, the pieces that came in were fully embroidered, corner to corner, but then slowly the women started travelling to China too, and they edited them to have borders, blank spaces for tucking in, etc. The Parsi community had newly settled in Bombay, become quite rich, and now wanted a certain new look—and they adopted the Gara saris as their signature.

One of the famous designs was ‘Cheena Cheeni’, which depicts a Chinese man and a Chinese woman against a landscape of pagodas, bridges, plantations and people doing daily chores in China, carrying lanterns and other knick knacks—but these were things so exotic and unseen in India, that the design became a prized possession. They also brought back narrow borders that are called as ‘Kor’, and clothes for the children—the tunics were called ‘Jhablas’ and pants were called ‘Ghicha’. These were some of the different products that were coming via the trade.

Can you tell us a little more about other popular Gara designs?

We have quirky names for motifs. Apart from ‘Cheena Cheeni’, there is a polka-dotted motif is called ‘kaanda papeta’, which stands for onion potato. Polka dots were so common at one point, that they were jestingly compared to onions and potatoes for how readily available they were. Then there is a spin wheel motif, which the Parsis call a ‘Karoliya’, or a spider. We have a ‘Marga Margi’, which is a rooster and a hen and there’s a ‘Chakla Chakli’ too, which is a male and female sparrow.

Bhumi Pednekar and Patralekhaa’s sculpted eyebrows take centre stage in this week’s best beauty looks

A single arch can do what contouring never could: change the story of your face. Eyebrows are one of the most defining features, subtly shaping expression and shifting perception. They balance the face, frame the eyes and can even alter structure, lifting or softening features. One arch, one angle and the whole face takes on new dimension—and when sculpted with precision, that impact only deepens.

Sculpted brows aren’t just about definition, they’re about intention. Whether feathered or boldly arched, they bring symmetry and focus, elevating the entire face and pulling a makeup look together with quiet authority. A well-shaped brow can soften sharp contours, anchor a bold eye, or make bare skin look more refined.

As celebrity makeup artist Sandhya Shekhar put it at the Vogue Beauty and Wellness Awards masterclass: “Eyebrows are the cornerstone of any makeup look.” Shekhar half-joked about wanting to carry a spoolie in her bag, on standby for any stray-brow situation. Beneath the humour was a clear takeaway: the eyebrow is no longer the punctuation mark, it’s the headline.

But this trend didn’t begin with social media. Long before laminated brows filled our feeds, classical Indian dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kathakali used sculpted arches to signal character and emotion. Whether drawn high or sharp, they lifted features and added flair—proof that brows have always been beauty’s power move.

Today, that legacy shows up everywhere, from the smoulder of old-school Bollywood to the restraint of clean-girl minimalism. This week, Bhumi Pednekar and Patralekhaa brought their own interpretation to the stage, using sculpted arches to centre their beauty looks with quiet precision. No overstatement, no excess, just brows doing what they’ve always done best: pulling focus.

Bhumi Pednekar keeps it fresh with a luminous base that subtly catches the light. A soft flush of rosewater pink warms the cheeks, and a precise swipe of highlighter along the nose adds just the right amount of glow. Her eyes, defined with soft coral-pink shimmer, feature a crisp wing and a hint of sparkle at the inner corners.

The brows—laminated, full, and softly lifted—provide structure without overpowering the look. The finishing touches, including plump pink lips, beachy waves, floral studs, and a bold orange dress, come together for a refined and elegant result.
