Isha Ambani Piramal makes an appearance in custom Ashi Studio and Bvlgari jewels at the Serpenti Infinito opening

For the opening of Bvlgari’s Serpenti Infinito exhibition at Nita Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Isha Ambani Piramal arrived in a look that sought to bridge heritage and modernity, pairing contemporary couture with storied jewels that carried both personal and cultural significance.

She wore a custom creation by Ashi Studio, a fashion house known for elevating couture to an art form. The deep, dark chocolate gown featured a corseted bodice that cinched the waist and was laced up delicately at the back. The skirt flared subtly into a soft mermaid hem, juxtaposing movement and weightlessness with the strong, defined upper silhouette. With its seamless mix of modern lines and old-world form, the dress became a canvas for her statement jewels to shine.

Enhancing the look was the Serpenti Divine Monsoon necklace by Bvlgari, crafted in rose gold, with tanzanites, tourmalines, rubies and diamonds coiling dramatically around her neckline. To add a personal touch, Isha also wore a vintage yellow diamond Bvlgari ring, a piece from her mother Nita Mukesh Ambani’s private collection, acquired over 25 years ago in New York. The addition spoke volumes, not just of legacy and sentiment, but also of the generational dialogue that continues with heirloom pieces.

She wore her hair down, in voluminous waves, parted slightly off-centre to lend a natural, flowing ease. The clean, glossy finish paired with soft movement gave the look an editorial edge—sleek yet unforced, in line with the sculptural simplicity of her gown.

Is Taylor Swift’s ‘Actually Romantic’ about Charli XCX? An investigation

According to Swifties, The Life of a Showgirl proves Taylor Swift did not miss the so-called “diss track” on last summer’s hit Charli XCX album, Brat.

I put diss track in quotes because the 33-year-old British singer put out a PSA to fans that none of the album’s songs (aside from ‘Von Dutch’) fit into that category. “They’re really just about how it’s so complicated being an artist, especially a female artist, where you are pitted against your peers and also expected to be best friends with every single person constantly, when if you’re not, you’re deemed a bad feminist,” she said in a TikTok video in May 2024, adding, “That, to me is just like, such an unrealistic expectation.”

She continued, “These songs are kind of about how, as a woman, as an artist, some days you can feel on top of the world, some days you can feel unbelievably insecure, other days you can feel highly competitive. Sometimes you can feel like literal trash. And it’s really emotional and it’s complicated to deal with, and we’re not supposed to talk about it, but these songs do talk about it. And I’ll probably be chastised about it, but whatever, it’s reality.”

Following the release of Brat, Swift praised Charli in a Vulture profile while making no mention of the track fuelling feud rumours, ‘Sympathy Is a Knife.’

Now, fans believe she was saving her thoughts for The Life of a Showgirl. On October 1, the lyrics to ‘Actually Romantic’ made their way online ahead of the album’s official release, and fans didn’t wait for confirmation before starting to connect the dots.

Horoscope Today: October 3, 2025

Cosmic tip: Choose harmony and balance to find your focus once again.

What are your options, and what is keeping you indecisive? Sag, you are standing at the peak of a positively turning wheel of fortune and hello, you must take a chance and trust your gut, your ideas and your humungous dreams. If you won’t give yourself a shot, then who will? Whatever you are dreaming of is on the horizon; in fact, all that is on your plate is possible for you—but you must ask yourself if you really want all of it, or would you rather keep your standards high and energy-focused?

Cosmic tip: Your freedom begins in your inner worlds.

You are good. This is divinely timed, Capricorn, and you are ready to start afresh. This is your time to focus on what you need to get done instead of focusing on what the world around you is seeking from you. This is your time to trust the swiftness of your logic and the agility of the Universe to level things out. This is your time to take a break and simply not struggle to keep a strong facade. This is your time to perhaps even slump off for a short bit so that you can allow divine intervention to take place. This is your time to reassert your boundaries and gently pull away from anything that drains you.

Cosmic tip: Take a step back, but remember to release unwanted baggage.

Do you feel an affinity towards a particular animal, say horses, Aquarius? These wonderful creatures have a message for you. Whatever animal you feel drawn to, run a quick Google search to find your specific message. You may be at the beginning of something new, and you may be wondering how to make the most of it. You know, there is only one way for you—emotional maturity, gratification and alignment first. Take your time to set solid foundations, take your time to mature into the version of you that sits on your throne and simply do not take setbacks personally. Ask your assistants across the realms to support and guide you. You will be surprised at what conspires.

Cosmic tip: Find a balance between giving and receiving.

If you’ve been paying attention to voices in your head that keep reiterating—you can’t, it is time you objectively assessed their motives behind it. Pisces, that voice you heard in your childhood that said you cannot jump high enough—either was looking out for you or was simply basing your capabilities on their experiences. That voice you heard a long time ago that called you delusional—was in fact someone who is meant to create logically, starkly different from you. So don’t you allow these voices to become your own. Instead, try unearthing your inner voice and trust falling with it.

Cosmic tip: Set healthy boundaries and seek liberation from the confines of your own mind.

12 long-lasting lipsticks for fade-proof colour

Ahead, we’ve rounded up some of the best transfer-proof lipsticks that deliver across every skin tone, finish and price point.

MAC Cosmetics Locked Kiss 24hr Lipstick

₹3150

Think your lipstick can survive a full 24 hours? MAC’s long-lasting formula is up for the challenge, taking you seamlessly from 9 a.m. meetings to late-night dance floors. Bremer describes this pick as comfortable, gliding on without tugging thanks to passion fruit oil. Plus, it offers high-intensity pigment. “It is also a very easy formula to achieve a lip stain look when you just dab it on and blend with your fingers, or you can fully coat your lips in one swipe for full coverage,” she says. As a pro tip, Bremer advises letting the product set for two minutes and then blotting your lips to ensure it stays super transfer-proof.

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue

₹4750

If you’re into glossy lips but refuse to deal with smudges, Chanel’s liquid lip duo is your answer. One end delivers bold, stay-all-day colour, while the other locks in shine with a glassy, hydrating top coat. Pro makeup artist Emily Gray considers Chanel’s Le Rouge Duo Tenue in a class of its own when it comes to liquid lipsticks. “Thanks to its impressive high-shine finish,” Gray previously told Vogue, “the only thing you need to refresh your lips is the clear gloss throughout the day.” Gray stresses just one golden rule for this pick: Let your base coat dry completely before swiping on the gloss topper. Of course, you can skip this step if you prefer a matte lip.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color

₹2450

Celebrity makeup artist Brandy Allen compares Bobbi Brown’s hydrating lipstick to the ultimate soft lip stain—effortless yet long-lasting. “What I love about this lipstick is it stays in place for up to eight hours,” she previously told Vogue. Unlike many mattes that can feel drying, this one’s balmy texture nourishes lips with castor oil, vitamins E and C, and beeswax, offering all-day comfort. And the pièce de résistance? Despite its creamy formula, the matte finish keeps colour locked in place, no matter what the day throws at you.

Maybelline SuperStay Vinyl Ink Lipcolor

₹849

Around the Vogue office, one senior beauty editor is practically synonymous with a bold red lip. Her rouge of choice? Maybelline New York’s Vinyl Ink. “The only compliments I ever get on my beauty look are when I’m wearing Maybelline New York’s Vinyl Ink. It’s the best of both worlds. It stays on all day, just like those OG lip kits (no dry, cakey coverage here), and super glossy and shiny,” Vogue’s senior beauty and wellness editor Margaux Anbouba previously shared. Celebrity makeup artist Buster Knight is a fan, too, keeping the formula in his kit for star-studded clients. “If I want to use lipstick with a little more oomph [on my clients], I go for any of the SuperStay formulas. They don’t budge and give a great colour payoff,” Knight tells Vogue.

Dior Rouge Refillable Lipstick

₹3800

Dior’s long-wearing lipstick does more than deliver colour—it delivers covert skin-care too. Red peony flower extract provides lasting hydration (like a lip balm), while pomegranate flower extract adds a plumping effect. Celebrity makeup artist Michael Anthony praises the formula for its wide shade range and up to 12 hours of wear. His personal favourites are the flattering pinks, especially striking on mature skin. “I think a fresh pink lip with a bit of sheen is a really lovely way to wake up the complexion,” Anthony previously told Vogue. For an even longer-lasting option, Rouge Dior Forever wears up to 16 hours while still offering 32 shades to choose from.

Pat McGrath LiquiLust Legendary Wear Lipstick

₹2700

When it comes to bold, statement-making lips, few do liquid lipstick better than beauty icon Pat McGrath. From vibrant reds to shimmering metallics, each shade glides on effortlessly with a tapered applicator for precision. The whipped formula, reinforced with synthetic beeswax, prevents dragging and sets into a comfortable, transfer-resistant finish. It’s little wonder that Taylor Swift counts on this lipstick to lock in her signature red, performance after performance.

Nars Power Matte Lipstick

₹3000

Bremer calls this pick a must-have for anyone seeking a bold, statement-making lip. “It has great colour payoff and does not budge. Because this matte formula can be slightly drying, I like to pat a little balm into the centre of the lip to make it more comfortable to wear,” she says. Concentrating the balm in the centre preserves the lipstick’s impressive staying power while keeping edges sharp and lips soft. The result? A confident, all-eyes-on-you look that lasts from your first coffee to happy hour.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick

₹3650

The easiest way to “fake it ’till you make it” with a plumper-looking pout? Find the perfect nude. Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick does exactly that—especially when paired with the brand’s Pillow Talk lip liners. Unlike traditional mattes, light-reflecting mica pigments catch the glow just right, giving lips the illusion of extra fullness. (Word on the street is that this is Meghan Markle’s go-to lippie, who reportedly wears the shade Very Victoria.)

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint

₹3025

The universally flattering shades dry to a soft matte that feels featherlight on the lips—no cracking or flaking to worry about. It’s also a favourite of Tioseco. “I love Fenty Lip Stunna because, although it’s transfer-proof, it still gives a beautiful satin finish, keeping your lips looking juicy without the mess,” Tioseco previously told Vogue. Pro tip: Shake the tube before applying to fully activate the lipstick’s pigments.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Laque Resistance Liquid Lipstick

₹999

If glossy lips and staying power feel mutually exclusive, L’Oréal Paris proves otherwise. The Infallible Laque Resistance offers a lacquer-like shine with up to 16 hours of wear, so you can skip constant reapplication. The lightweight formula glides on with a precision applicator and locks into place without smudging or transferring. Infused with squalane, it nourishes while it shines, keeping lips soft and comfortable even after hours of wear. The result? Bold, glossy colour that lasts through dinner and beyond.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Stain

₹2100

Part lip liner, part stain, Huda Beauty’s Lip Contour Stain reimagines the definition of long-lasting. The dual-sided felt tip makes it easy to both line and fill, while the ultra-pigmented formula dries down to a transfer-proof matte that lasts up to 12 hours. Infused with argan oil, it keeps lips comfortable without sacrificing hold. Whether you wear it alone as a barely-there stain or layer it under lipstick for insurance, this is the multitasker built to withstand kisses, cocktails, and everything in between.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture

₹4000

For a couture lip that balances care and colour, Yves Saint Laurent’s Rouge Pur Couture is a house favourite. The creamy satin formula delivers full-coverage pigment in a single swipe, yet feels weightless on the lips. At its core is an 80% care base powered by ceramides, tuberose and prickly pear extracts from YSL’s Ourika Community Garden, designed to smooth and protect for up to 16 hours. The result is a lipstick that fuses skincare and couture colour in one sleek bullet–bold enough for evening, comfortable enough for all day.

Horoscope Today: October 2, 2025

What if you chose to come here to not fit into a box, instead to rise up and shine? Leo, your core personality traits are the very things your soul chose to experience and your innate need to be seen is part of your soul’s purpose. So your guides and angels come in heavy, reminding you to never give in on things you feel strongly and passionately about; to never squeeze yourself to a point where you don’t recognise yourself. Yes, you are here to learn to work in tandem with others as well, but also to honour yourself in equal measure.

Cosmic tip: Devote yourself to your core purpose and find the reason you want to be remembered for.

From feeling like you were getting the hang of things, building your kitty, your tribe and whatever else, to now, feeling like you are back on your own trying to get your stuff together—Virgo, yes life can feel a little topsy turvy. Your guides come in with a very strong message for you —to own each day as it comes. Your need for order and structure may supersede everything you do; yes, it is an inherent part of your personality. But they remind you that the main lesson you are here to master is being fully present, instead of chasing perfection. Ground your energy, focus on what is presently at hand and ask yourself what it is that you would much rather focus on—what is it that would make you feel gratified when you look back at this time 5- 10 years from this point. Choose that.

Cosmic tip: Look at karma as an opportunity to serve, not a lesson to learn.

You have moved beyond the challenges or outdated versions of your life, Libra and you are now elevating your vibe and your energy. Now, what this means is that the preset lessons you were here to live out have been successfully completed. And what you are now trodding onto next is where your soul really belongs. You are tapping into wisdom that you have gathered over lifetimes. You may feel called to travel to certain places or experience certain cultures that feel like you belong there in some way. And if, for some reason, you cannot do it in person, experience these via technology. This is your soul tying up loose ends and reclaiming what is originally your own.

Why winning the Women’s World Cup this year is so crucial for the Indian women’s cricket team

For Reddy, Rodrigues and their teammates, 2011 felt like an inheritance—proof that inspiration has no gender, and that possibility, once glimpsed, can be claimed. Now, standing on the cusp of their own defining moment, they are in a position to ignite the dreams of countless young girls who will look up, watch and believe.

The Women’s ODI World Cup returns to India after 12 years. In 2013, you could barely tell a Women’s World Cup was in town—little branding, botched anthems and a home team that didn’t make it past the league stages. The present hums with possibility, and waits to roar.

Instagram.comjhulangoswami

Instagram.com/@jhulangoswami

For Jhulan Goswami, the difference is stark. The world’s highest wicket-taker in women’s ODIs was part of that 2013 campaign. “The loss really shook us up,” she remembers. “Once it was over, somehow, we all got scattered. We, the Indian team members, didn’t speak to each other for two or three months. We didn’t want to meet anyone or face the public. We felt like we had let everyone down.”

Now retired and a coach with the Mumbai Indians franchise in the revolutionary Women’s Premier League (WPL), Goswami sounds the bugle. “It’s high time. The time for semi-finals and runners-up is gone. Everyone who has been part of this journey, big and small, deserves this World Cup. And to do it at home is a golden opportunity that won’t come every time.”

Why enamel jewellery is the season’s boldest statement

Festivals demand colour, and enamel jewellery delivers it in high definition. Candy-bright rings, glossy hoops and enamelled bangles have taken over feeds and festive wishlists alike.

Enamelling, the decorative coating technique, is not new to the jewellery world. Meenakari jewellery of Persia and then India has long used the method to make intricate designs with mesmerising colours. Enamelling has often created intriguing art-mimic-life moments in jewellery.

However, far from its Art Nouveau period connotations, as seen on elaborately decorated Faberge eggs, enamel fine jewellery today is pop-arty (as seen in Nicobar’s Enamel dot ring) and graphic or geometric (like Le Mill’s swirl rings).

These enamel picks bring that celebratory jolt of colour, whether you’re layering them with silks or styling with cocktail dresses.

Falguni20Pathak.jpeg

Falguni Pathak’s music videos are an archive of dreamy, clean-shaven men

Pathak’s brand of Hindi pop music comprises upbeat ballads with gorgeous people and sweet storylines. ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ captures love blooming during preparations for a college fest; ‘Sawan Mein’ is set against the backdrop of a group of girls and boys going head to head at various sports (and the lead couple eventually falling in love); in ‘Chudi’, a torn baby blue dupatta becomes the vehicle for love. Watching these videos in 2025 gives whiplash: everybody has their own sense of style: tube tops, varsity jackets, gelled hair, neat spikes, tiger-print bandannas, bubblegum pink and grasshopper green hair beads. But also: clean-shaven men with dripping-wet hair and doe eyes. Indraneil Sengupta, a baby-faced Shahid Kapoor, Vivan Bhathena, Iqbal Khan, Santino Morea. In the video for ‘Ye Kisne Jadu Kiya’, a bulky, Superman-like dude playing a college professor wears a shirt and a solemn tie. And is still clean-shaven.

Compare this to the spate of beards we see in popular media now: Virat Kohli and half the men’s Indian cricket team, Animal (2023), Kabir Singh (2019) and Pushpa: The Rise (2021). Through these depictions, facial hair becomes more than just a grooming choice; it becomes shorthand for hyper-masculinity—a way for men to project dominance, authority and control. In a culture still tethered to patriarchal ideals, facial hair is marketed as proof of real manhood. And for women to be fascinated with men who assert superiority.
